Telling the Story in 367 words

God’s Word for Every Day

Blessed is the man who believes and trusts in and relies on the Lord And whose hope and confident expectation is the Lord. Jeremiah 17:7

Mr. Jim and Mrs. Hardman

pray that the story of the Bible delights you and brings you hope now and forever.

Worship and Praise God, our Father, Jesus, His Son, and the Holy Spirit

367 Words

The Lord’s Prayer

Thy will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven,

God is The Father, Son (Jesus), and the Holy Spirit. God created a perfect World.  It was very good.

Satan tempted. Adam and Eve sinned (disobeyed God). The wages of sin is death, separation from God for eternity.

God makes ‘The Way’ (Jesus) I will crush your head, Satan.

“I will make you (Abraham) a great nation (Israel). All people on earth will be blessed through you. God speaks and gives the Commandments to the nation of Israel. Jesus said the greatest Commandments are:   Love the Lord your God with all your heart, mind, soul, and strength. Love your neighbor as yourself.

God’s presence with the people of Israel. Build a sanctuary ‘A Holy Place’ for Me. I am the Lord their God and I will dwell among my people.  And they will worship me.

God’s people continuously turn away from Him. They do not obey God’s commands.  God’s people worship idols.  They worship idols of other nations, the sun, moon, stars, statues.  They make for themselves idols, like a golden calf.

God hates sin. He is just.  The wages of sin is death. But God is merciful.

God spoke through the prophets of a blessing promised to Abraham in Israel. Jesus was wounded for our transgressions,  Jesus was crushed for our wickedness, our sin, our injustice, our wrongdoing;  The punishment we deserved fell on Him,  By His stripes, by His wounds we are healed.

Satan is crushed.

Lord, I Lift Your Name on High.

Confess with your mouth,  Jesus is Lord. Believe in your heart, God raised Him from the dead. And you will be saved.

Believe.

Be a witness.

Tell others Jesus Saves.

Love the Lord your God with all your heart, mind, soul, and strength

Love your neighbor as yourself.

A new heaven and a new earth;

The first heaven and the first earth had passed away.

God Himself will be with us.

God will wipe away every tear from our eyes;

and there will no longer be death;

there will no longer be sorrow, or crying, or pain;

for the former order of things has passed away.

All things are made new.

Yesterday - God’s will was done.

Today - God’s will is being done.

Tomorrow and Forever

- God’s will will be done.

Our Prayer

Father, We praise and worship you. You are above all. There is none like you. I pray your mercy be known. Our sins confessed. Your grace received. Our faith grows. You are Lord.

In Jesus Holy Name, Amen.

The Story of the Bible

God’s Word for Every Day   “Were not our hearts burning within us while he (Jesus) talked with us on the road and opened the Scriptures (the Story of the Bible) to us?”

Luke 24:32

Mr. Jim and Mrs. Hardman pray that the story of the Bible be revealed by the power of the Holy Spirit and our lives are changed for every moment and forever.

Worship and Praise God, our Father, Jesus, His Son, and the Holy Spirit

Lord, I Lift Your Name on High.

The Big Story’ The Story of the Bible

The story of the Bible is important for us to know.

The Bible is made up of many stories.

But the best story is the story of the whole Bible.

In the beginning God created all things, men and women fell into sin, Jesus redeemed us through Jesus Christ, and all things will be restored in the fullness of time.

After Jesus died for the sins of the whole world and rose from the dead conquering the grave, two men were walking home from Jerusalem. They knew Jesus died. They may have seen Jesus die on the cross. They heard that 2 women saw Jesus alive again. They thought Jesus was the Messiah, the one who would save  Israel from the Romans.

And then Jesus came alongside them and said to them, “How foolish you are, and how slow to believe all that the prophets have spoken! Did not the Messiah have to suffer these things and then enter his glory?” And beginning with Moses and all the Prophets, he explained to them what was said in all the Scriptures concerning himself.

He told them the ‘Story of the Bible.’

And when Jesus was at the table with them, he took bread, gave thanks, broke it and began to give it to them. Then their eyes were opened and they recognized him, and he disappeared from their sight. They asked each other, “Were not our hearts burning within us while he talked with us on the road and opened the Scriptures to us?”

The True and Better, Jesus

This is Amazing Grace.

Our Prayer

Father, thank you for the Bible that reveals your awesomeness and power and faithfulness and love. You are great. Holy Spirit, I pray to be molded and made into the image of God. I pray my desires are God’s desires. I pray I will testify to others the story of the Bible that changes lives forever. The only story that can. Hallelujah! In Jesus Holy Name, Amen.

The Family of God

God’s Word for Every Day   Anyone who does God’s will is my brother and sister and mother.” Mark 3:35

Mr. Jim and Mrs. Hardman prays that as brothers and sisters in God’s family we will do His will.

Worship and Praise God, our Father, Jesus, His Son, and the Holy Spirit

God So Loved the World

Even before he made the world, God loved us and chose us in Christ to be holy and without fault in his eyes. God decided in advance to adopt us into his own family by bringing us to himself through Jesus Christ. This is what he wanted to do, and it gave him great pleasure. Ephesians1:4-5

Watch: The Real Family of God

Jesus had parents, brothers and maybe even sisters. His family life was probably a lot like ours. He had chores, was expected to eat all of his dinner and make his bed.

As Jesus grew up and started his ministry, he talked about his family in a different way. When Jesus is teaching to a crowd and his mother and brothers came to see him. They stood outside and sent word for him to come out and talk with them. There was a crowd sitting around Jesus, and someone said, “Your mother and your brothers* are outside asking for you.”

Jesus’ responded, “Anyone who does God’s will is my brother and sister and mother.” Mark 3:35

The Big Family of God

This confused the crowd and maybe even his family but Jesus was making a point.

Jesus came to save us all from sin and death. Jesus was more interested in growing his family rather than just limiting it to the people born to his parents.

That’s good news for us! We can be a part of God’s family, too. All we have to do is put our trust in Jesus and we’re in the ‘Family of God.’

I Am Part of the Family of God

Adapted from PursueGOD KIDS

Our Prayer

Father, thank you for loving us before you made the world and choosing us in Christ to be holy and without fault in Your eyes. Thank you for adopting us into your family through Help us to give you great pleasure every day. In Jesus Holy Name, Amen.

God’s Name ‘I Am Who I Am’

God’s Word for Every Day   Moses said to God, “Suppose I go to the Israelites and say to them, ‘The God of your fathers has sent me to you,’ and they ask me, ‘What is his name?’ Then what shall I tell them?” God said to Moses, “I am who I am.[c] This is what you are to say to the Israelites: ‘I am has sent me to you.’”  Exodus 3:13-14

Mr. Jim and Mrs. Hardman pray we will be messengers of salvation to the needy and believe I Am sent us.

Worship and Praise God, our Father, Jesus, His Son, and the Holy Spirit

I Worship You - You Are Here

The final word on the Sovereign God is in His name ‘I Am Who I Am.’

Read or have someone read Exodus 3:1-4:23

Watch the Video: God’s Name - Moses and God at the Burning Bush

‘What is His name?’

“When they (the Israelites) say to me (Moses). ‘What is His Name?’

What shall I say to them”_

God said to Moses, “I Am Who I Am”

God said, “You shall say this to the Israelites, ‘I Am has sent me to you.’”

My Name is forever.

Who is ‘I Am’?

Who is the beginning (Alpha)? I Am

Who is the end (Omega)? I Am

Who was? I Am

Who is? I Am

Who is to come? I Am

Who will be? I Am

I Am, the Almighty.

I Am That I Am

Believe I Am

What if the people will not believe?

Moses' staff became a snake and then a staff again.

Believe I Am.

Moses' hand became leprous, white as snow, and then normal again.

Believe I Am.

And if they still don’t believe,

Take water from the river, pour it on the ground. The water will turn to blood.

Believe I Am.

Say His Name, I Am as you read these.

I Am always was, alway is, always will be.

I Am is Holy, Holy, Holy. There is none like Him.

I Am is right and fair. He is our Rock. There is no wrong in him.

I Am is Creator of all things and created male and female in His image.

I Am is the absolute truth.

I Am is in charge! His purpose! His will! No Doubt.

I Am Loves … Is Merciful … Gives Grace.

I Am the Breath of Life.

I Am knows all.

I Am is Just … and I Am is the Justifier.

Forever God is with us.

Our Prayer

Father, as we live each day I pray we will be awestruck at who you are. There are no words to describe you. There is none like you. You are more than amazing. You are more than wonderful. You are more than awesome. You are I Am. In Jesus Holy Name, Amen.

God is Sovereign! Just and Justifier

God’s Word for Every Day    It was to demonstrate His righteousness at the present time, so that He would be just and the One who justifies those who have faith in Jesus and rely confidently on Him as Savior. Romans 3:26

Mr. Jim and Mrs. Hardman thank God for being just by punishing our sin and merciful for taking the punishment in place of us who believe.

Worship and Praise God, our Father, Jesus, His Son, and the Holy Spirit

Over the past weeks we understand the sovereignty of God.

God is Sovereign.

In the beginning God … The Sovereign God alway is, always was, always will be.

The Sovereign God is Holy, Holy, Holy. There is none like Him.

The Sovereign God is right and fair. He is our Rock. There is no wrong in him.

The Sovereign God is Creator of all things and created male and female in His image.

The Sovereign God is the absolute truth.

The Sovereign God is in charge! God’s purpose! God will! No Doubt.

The Sovereign God Loves … Is Merciful … Gives Grace.

The Sovereign God … Breath of Life.

The Sovereign God …  knows all.

This week: The Sovereign God is Just and the Justifier.

Jesus teaches his disciples how to pray… Our Father …

Read Romans 3:21-26

God demonstrated His righteousness … , so that He would be just … Romans 3:26a

God is Just

God is impartial ‘It does not matter who we are.’

All have sinned… I have sinned

All sin angers God… My sin angers God.

All fall short of God’s glory… I fall short of God’s glory.

All are guilty… I am guilty.

All will be punished for our sins… I will be punished for my sin.

All will suffer the wrath of God… I will suffer the wrath of God.

Since God is just, He must punish sinners.

Since God is just, He must punish me.

He is Good. His Love Endures Forever.

God is Merciful

God made a way to save sinners… God made a way to save me.

God sent Christ Jesus to take the punishment for our sins.

God sent Christ Jesus to take the punishment for my sins.

God sent Christ Jesus to end all God’s anger against us.

God sent Christ Jesus to end all God’s anger against me.

God used Christ’s blood to save us from his wrath.

God used Christ’s blood to save me from his wrath.

… He would be just and the One who justifies those who have faith in Jesus and rely confidently on Him as Savior. Romans 3:26b

My Redeemer Lives.

God is the justifier

God is fair.

God is impartial ‘It does not matter who we are.’

God made a way that we could not make.

God made a way that I could not make.

If we trust Jesus; everyone can be saved.

If I trust Jesus; I can be saved.,

God used Christ’s blood and our faith to save us from his wrath.

God used Christ’s blood and my faith to save me from his wrath.

All can be declared not guilty. I can be declared not guilty.

God is just. He must punish my sin.

God is the Justifier. He (Jesus) took the punishment I deserved for my sin.

Jesus save me.

I believe in You. You are my Savior and Lord.

Our Prayer

Father, I pray for the Holy Spirit to open hearts to your wonderful justice and mercy and receive Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord. He who willingly gave His life for mine, so I might be saved.   In Jesus Holy Name, Amen.

God is Sovereign! God Knows All

God’s Word for Every Day

Even before there is a word on my tongue, Behold, O Lord, You know it all. Psalm 139:4

Mr. Jim and Mrs. Hardman pray for us to live each day looking forward to that day we are made alive and live eternally with the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

The Sovereign God is the absolute truth.

The Sovereign God is in charge! God’s purpose! God will! No Doubt.

The Sovereign God Loves … Is Merciful … Gives Grace.

The Sovereign God … Breath of Life.

This week we see the Sovereign God knows all.

God has all knowledge of the universe past, present, and future.

The birth, death, and resurrection of Jesus were not by happenstance. They were the result of a divine plan God set in place an eternity ago to provide us a way to have a personal relationship with Him.

David was amazed at God’s knowledge.

Join David and speak his Psalm 139:1-6.

Lord, you have examined me. You know all about me.

You know when I sit down and when I get up. You know my thoughts before I think them.

You know where I go and where I lie down. You know well everything I do.

Lord, even before I say a word, you already know what I am going to say.

You are all around me—in front and in back. You have put your hand on me.

Your knowledge is amazing to me. It is more than I can understand.

Our God is A Great Big God

God Knows All

Nothing occurs to God. He knows all.

God never just remembers something.

God never has a new thought pop into his mind.

God can’t forget.

God never wracks his brain to figure out what to do.

God never wonders about anything.

God is never surprised.

God instantly and eternally knows every fact about everything, everywhere, forever, and God knows it perfectly, completely, and without errors.

God has never learned anything.

God cannot learn anything.

He knows all.

Who You Say I Am

God Knows Us

"Before a word is on my tongue you, Lord, you know it completely".

God knows us better than we know ourselves.

God knows the status of our health.

God knows the temperature of our emotions.

God knows the level of our faith and the purity of our thoughts.

God knows our hurts and our fears.

God knows what you're going to say tomorrow.

God knows every word you'll speak in all our conversations.

He knows when you come and go, when you sit and stand, when you rise and fall.

David wrote "Every day of my life was recorded in your book. Every moment was laid out before a single day had passed". Psalm 139:16

How well it is for us to know the God who knows us!

There never was a time in which we were unknown to God, and there never will be a moment in which we shall be beyond his observation.

My inmost thought is perfectly understood by God.

The Sovereign God knows all.

Rest in Him. Trust Him, Glorify Him.

He Knows My Name

Our Prayer

Father, How wonderful it is that you know us and love us. Lead us not into temptation. Deliver us from evil; so that we will not sin against you. Because you know the ways we go each day, I pray we reverence you and make your Name great. You know our thoughts, I pray our delight is in you alone. How comforting to know of your wonderful knowledge is above all.  In Jesus Name, Amen.

God is Sovereign! Breath of Life

Jesus is the Resurrection and the Life.

God’s Word for Every Day

Worship and Praise God, our Father, Jesus, His Son, and the Holy Spirit

The Sovereign God is in charge! God’s purpose! God will! No Doubt.

The Sovereign God Loves … Is Merciful … Gives Grace.

Hallelujah for the Cross

This Week we see God is the Resurrection and the Life.

Confess with your mouth Jesus is Lord.

Believe in your heart God raised Him from the dead.

Don’t Doubt, Believe! and you will be saved.

In the beginning God .... God breathed life.

Then the Lord God took dust from the ground and formed man (Adam) from it.

The Lord breathed the breath of life into the man’s nose.

The man became a living person. Genesis 2:7

So the Lord God caused Adam to sleep very deeply.

While Adam was asleep, God took one of the ribs from his body.

Then God closed the man’s skin at the place where he took the rib.

God used the rib from the man to make a woman (Eve). Genesis 2:21-22

Because the first man and woman, Adam and Eve, sinned.

They disobeyed God’s command and God said:

Later you all (men and women) will return to the ground.

This is because you (Adam and Eve) were taken from the ground.

You are dust. And when you die, you will return to the dust.” Genesis 3:19

Jesus is the Resurrection and the Life … Believe in Me and never die.

Jesus Christ Arose

Jesus has authority over death and life.

When asked for a sign to prove His authority, Jesus said:

“Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up.”

Jesus was speaking of the temple which was His body.

When He had risen from the dead, His disciples remembered what He had said.

John 2:12-21

Jesus said to Martha, “I am the resurrection and the life.

He who believes in me will have life even if he dies.

And he who lives and believes in me will never die.

Jesus cried out in a loud voice, “Lazarus, come out!”

The dead man came out of the tomb. John 11:43-44

He rose from the dead, just like he said he would.

But the man said, “... .

You are looking for Jesus from Nazareth, the one who was killed on a cross.

He has risen from death. Mark 16:6

O Praise the Name of the Lord Our God, Jesus.

Death comes to everyone because of what Adam did.

But the rising from death also happens because of what Jesus did.

In Adam all of us die.

In Christ all of us will be made alive again. 1 Corinthians 15:20-22

It will only take a second. We will be changed as quickly as an eye blinks.

The trumpet will sound and those who have died will be raised to live forever.

We will all be changed.

And this body that dies must clothe itself with something that will never die.

1 Corinthians 15:52-53

Our Prayer

Father, Thank you for the great hope we have because of Jesus’s resurrection. Because He rose from the dead, we who believe in Him will never die. We will be raised to live forever. How Great Thou Art, O’ Sovereign God.  In Jesus Name, Amen.

Mr. Jim and Mrs. Hardman pray we confess with your mouth Jesus is Lord and believe in our heart God raised Him from the dead.

The Sovereign God is the absolute truth.

The Sovereign God is in charge! God’s purpose! God will! No Doubt.

This Week we see God’s Sovereign Love, Mercy, and Grace.

For God so loved the world (Sovereign Love),

that he gave his only Son (Sovereign Mercy),

that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life (Sovereign Grace). John 3:16

God So Loved

God’s Sovereign Love

For God so loved the world, … John 3:16

We are all sinners — We are all responsible, helpless, and guilty.

God is compassionate. He loves all of us.

How much did God love the world (all of us)?

But God, being rich in mercy, took our punishment.

God’s Sovereign Mercy

…, that he gave his only Son, … John 3:16

The punishment of sin is death, separation from God forever.

But God, being rich in mercy, took our punishment.

God gave his only Son, Jesus, to die for all our sins.

By God’s mercy He provided a Savior for the world, and

He can now save by grace.

This is Amazing Grace

God’ Sovereign Grace

…, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. John 3:16

Grace is God’s favor.

The favor of God cannot be earned by any person, and

Nobody’s sin can stop the sovereign God from saving them.

God’s favor (grace) is eternal life with Him for whoever believes in Jesus.

Grace is a free gift of God.

…, it is by grace you have been saved. Ephesians 2:5

To God be the Glory - I Can Only Imagine

Our Prayer

Father, Thank you for your great love, mercy, and grace. Help us to love our neighbor as ourselves, to be merciful and forgive those who sin against us, and give favor to others when undeserved. All we want is to know Christ and the power of his rising from death. We want to share in Christ’s sufferings and become like him in his death. To have those things, then we have hope that we will be raised from death. In Jesus Name, Amen.

Nothing kept Jesus from that purpose.

Over the next few weeks we will commit to understand the sovereignty of God.

God is Sovereign.

In the beginning God … The Sovereign God alway is, always was, always will be.

The Sovereign God is Holy, Holy, Holy. There is none like Him.

The Sovereign God is right and fair. He is our Rock. There is no wrong in him.

This week: The Sovereign God is Creator.

My God is So Big!

In the beginning God started with nothing and created all things.

God created the sky and the earth, light “day” and darkness “night”, water, seas, plants, sun, moon, stars, days, months, seasons, years, living things in the water, birds in the air, and tame, crawling, and wild animals.

On the 6th day, God created human beings in his image.

In the image of God he created human beings.

He created human beings male and female.

We are made in the image of God to have a personal relationship with Him.

God created men and women to know Him, to love Him, to obey Him, to worship Him.

At the end of the 6th day God looked at everything he had made,

and it was very good. Genesis 1:31

“Do you not know? Have you not heard? The LORD is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. Isaiah 40:28

Look around. Trust in God. He created all things. God is sovereign.

What a Mighty God!

Our Prayer

Almighty God, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, we pray our eyes will see, our ears will hear, our nose will smell, our mouth will taste, our fingers will touch, all You have created. Sovereign God, we want to know you, to love you, to obey you, to worship you our creator and Lord. In Jesus Name, Amen.

God is Sovereign! God is Holy, Holy, Holy!

God’s Word for Every Day

“Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God, the Almighty, who was and who is and who is to come.” Revelation 4:8

Mr. Jim and Mrs. Hardman pray we fear, reverence, respect, and glorify God who is Holy, Holy, Holy.

Worship and Praise God, our Father, Jesus, His Son, and the Holy Spirit

Over the next few weeks we will commit to understand the sovereignty of God.

God is Sovereign. He is almighty, all-knowing, always present, present everywhere, Lord, Master, owner, controller.

The Sovereign God is Holy, Holy, Holy.

In the year that King Uzziah died, the prophet Isaiah saw in a vision the Lord sitting on a throne, high and exalted. Above Him seraphim (heavenly beings) stood; each one had six wings: with two wings he covered his face, with two wings he covered his feet, and with two wings he flew. And one called out to another, saying, “Holy, Holy, Holy is the Lord of hosts; The whole earth is filled with His glory.” Isaiah 6:1-3

John, the disciple, in the spirit saw ‘the four living creatures, each one of them having six wings, are full of eyes all over and underneath their wings; and day and night they never stop saying, “Holy, holy, holy [is the] Lord God, the Almighty, who was and who is and who is to come.” Revelation 4:8

God is Holy, Holy, Holy - Awesome God - There is none like Him.

God is above all things.

God’s wisdom and knowledge have no end!

No one can explain the things God decides.

No one can understand God’s ways.

As the Scripture says,

“Who has known the mind of the Lord? Who has been able to give the Lord advice?” 35

“No one has ever given God anything that he must pay back.”

Yes, God made all things.

And everything continues through God and for God.

To God be the glory forever! Amen.

God is Holy, Holy, Holy - He is absolutely pure

You who is Above All and thought of me above all.

Your eyes are too good to look at evil. Habakkuk 1:13

He is like a rock. What he does is perfect.

He is always fair.

He is a faithful God who does no wrong.

He is right and fair. Deuteronomy 32:4

He is my Rock, and there is no wrong in him. Psalm 92:15

Our Prayer

Holy, holy, holy are you the Almighty, all-knowing, always present, present everywhere, Lord, Master, owner, controller of all things. How marvelous! There is none like you! Nothing compares to you! We worship the Rock who is perfect in all His ways. You are always right and fair. There is no wrong in you. Holy, Holy, Holy is the Lord God Almighty.  In Jesus Name, Amen.

Worship and Praise God, our Father, Jesus, His Son, and the Holy Spirit

Over the next few weeks we will commit to understand the sovereignty of God.

In the beginning God … ‘ Genesis 1:1

Great Big God

God always was. God has always been. No one and no thing created God.

To know, hope, trust, obey, and rest in God, we must believe He was, He is, He always will be.

You (God) have always been, and you will always be. Psalm 90:2

You are God before you created the universe.

God is eternal (is, was, and always will be).

There has never been a time when God was not.

Our God is An Awesome God

God is, was, and always will be holy and loving.

God is, was, and always will be merciful and gracious.

God is, was, and always will be all powerful, all pesent, and all knowing.

God has no needs.

He does not need any help.

He has everything he needs.

God does not need or depend on anything or anyone.

Acts 17:25

In the beginning God.

He was. He is. He always will be.

Great Are You Lord

Our Prayer

How wonderful to know that you, God and Father, are always, have always been, and will always be. How blessed we are each moment of each day to believe, know, hope, trust, obey, and rest in God who was in the beginning. We want you, God, to have your way in our lives. Your ways are holy and righteous. How wonderful you are. In Jesus Name, Amen.

Everything Will Be Made New We Are Witnesses, Part 2

God’s Word for Every Day

God looked at everything he had made, and it was very good. Genesis 1:31

And the Lord God commanded the man (Adam), saying, “You may freely eat the fruit from every tree of the garden; but from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, otherwise on the day that you eat from it, you shall most certainly die because of your disobedience.” Genesis 2:16-17

For God loved the world so much that he gave his only Son. God gave his Son so that whoever believes in him may not be lost, but have eternal life. John 3:16

But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth. Acts 1:8

The One who was sitting on the throne said, “Look! I am making everything new!” Revelation 21:6

Mr. Jim and Mrs. Hardman pray we will be His witnesses by the power of the Holy Spirit telling of God’s great love for the world, giving Jesus to die in our place.

Worship and Praise God, our Father, Jesus, His Son, and the Holy Spirit

From Part 1 (February 7) - Be a Witness

After Adam and Eve disobeyed God and ate from the tree which gives the knowledge of good and evil, God acted quickly with grace to save sinners.

We have hope! … and you will be my witnesses

We shall be blessed! … and you will be my witnesses

Our punishment was given to him (Jesus) and we are made well. … and you will be my witnesses

We Are Witnesses, Part 2

He is a Great Big God.

God so loved the world that His sovereign plan to pay the price for the sin of all people, to save the world, began immediately after Adam and Eve sinned in the garden. At the time God had pre-determined, Jesus, the Son of God, would be born of a virgin with the purpose to be the perfect sacrifice to take away the sin of the world. We are God’s witness, telling of this great love.

Throughout Jesus' life He was determined to go to Jerusalem to fulfill His purpose and be taken up to heaven. Read Luke 9:51

Jesus told the twelve disciples “Listen carefully: we are going up to Jerusalem, and all things that have been written through the prophets about the Son of Man will be fulfilled and completed. He will be betrayed and handed over to the Roman authorities (Gentiles), and will be mocked and ridiculed and insulted and abused and spit on, and after they have whipped Him, they will kill Him; and on the third day He will rise [from the dead].” Read Luke 18:31-33

The night before Jesus died on the cross he prayed, His soul was troubled and deeply distressed; should I say to my Father, ‘save Me from this hour of trial and agony’? No! It is for this very purpose that I have come to this time, this hour, this place. Rather, I will say, ‘Father, glorify Your name!’” Read John 12:27-28

So, Jesus went willingly to the cross. He took our punishment on him and felt our pain for us. He was crushed for the evil things we did. The punishment that saves us was given to him. We are healed because of his wounds.  Read Isaiah 53:4-5

We are witnesses of this great love and Amazing Grace!

On the cross, Jesus knew that everything had been done. Jesus said, “It is finished.” He bowed his head and died. Read John 19:28-30

On the third day after the crucifixion, the angel said to the women, “Don’t be afraid. I know that you are looking for Jesus, the one who was killed on the cross. But he is not here. He has risen from death as he said he would. And go quickly and tell his followers. Say to them: ‘Jesus has risen from death. Read Matthew 28:5-6

Before Jesus went back to Heaven, He told the disciples that when they receive power from the Holy Spirit go and be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.” Read Acts 1:8

The power of the Holy Spirit is with us to be His witnesses.

We are sent to tell others. How beautiful are the feet of those who preach (tell) the good news! Read Romans 10:15

There will be a great number of people, too many to count, from every nation, language, country, tribe who will stand before God’s throne and before Jeus clothed in white robes, with palm branches in their hands praising God. Read Revelation 7:9

And the One who was sitting on the throne will make all things new forever. No sin. No Pain. No Crying, No Evil. Read Revelation 21:6

This I Believe - We are overcomers. God said it. He is doing it. Tell others.

WE ARE WITNESSES.

Our Prayer

We worship you, our God and Father. Thank you for your faithfulness and love. Each day help us put on Jesus Christ, our Bread of Life, walking by the Holy Spirit. In Christ help us be your witness in this world. We pray your kingdom comes, Your will be done on earth as it is in Heaven.  In His Name we pray, Amen.

The Best Way of All - Love

God’s Word for Every Day

And now I will show you the best way of all. …. Love never ends.

1 Corinthians 12:31, 13:1-8

Mr. Jim and Mrs. Hardman pray that love will abound in our hearts and towards all others. Love will never fail. Love will never fade. Love will never end. Love is the most excellent way. Help us to love always.

Worship and Praise God, our Father, Jesus, His Son, and the Holy Spirit

And now I will show you the best way of all.

Love the Lord

I may speak in different languages of men or even angels. But if I do not have love, then I am only a noisy bell or a ringing cymbal.

I may have the gift of prophecy; I may understand all the secret things of God and all knowledge; and I may have faith so great that I can move mountains. But even with all these things, if I do not have love, then I am nothing.

I may give everything I have to feed the poor. And I may even give my body as an offering to be burned. But I gain nothing by doing these things if I do not have love.

Love One Another

Love is patient and kind.

Love is not jealous, it does not brag, and it is not proud.

Love is not rude, is not selfish,

And does not become angry easily.

Love does not remember wrongs done against it.

Love takes no pleasure in evil,

but rejoices over the truth.

Love patiently accepts all things.

It always trusts, always hopes, and always continues strong.

Love never ends.

One Thing Remains - God’s love. It never fails

Our Prayer

Father, Thank you for your great love. Help us to love well, to love you with all our heart, mind, soul, and strength. By the Holy Spirit, guide us to love everyone, always patient and kind, not arrogant, proud, self-seeking, irritable or rude. Love is the best way. Love is the most excellent way. God loved us so much that He gave his one and only Son. May we love so much that others see Jesus.  In His Name we pray, Amen.

Everything Will Be Made New - Be a Witness, Part 1

God’s Word for Every Day

God looked at everything he had made, and it was very good. Genesis 1:31

The One who was sitting on the throne said, “Look! I am making everything new!” Revelation 21:6

Mr. Jim and Mrs. Hardman pray for God our Father, Jesus the Son, and the Holy Spirit to be worshipped and honored in all we do, everyday.

Worship and Praise God, our Father, Jesus, His Son, and the Holy Spirit

God looked at everything he had made, and it was very good. Genesis 1:31

And then …

Adam and Eve disobeyed God and ate from the tree which gives the knowledge of good and evil. God’s sovereign plan began to rescue and save sinners from being forever separated from Him.

The Way Maker

God acted quickly in grace to save sinners. God told the Devil a woman (Mary) will have a child (Jesus) and He will crush his (Satan’s) head, and then God made Adam and Eve leave the Garden of Eden so they would not eat from the Tree of Life and live forever in sin with no hope. Because Adam and Eve left the Garden of Eden and God sent an angel and a sword of fire to keep people from the Tree of Life, there is hope of Eternal Life with God for those who believe.

We have hope! Be a witness!

Because the people of the world were wicked and sinful, God judged them by sending a flood to destroy them, except for Noah and his family. Then people filled the earth again and God spoke to Abram (Abraham) “I will make you a great nation, .... and in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.” through your descendant Jesus. Genesis 12:3

We shall be blessed! Be a witness!

Father Abraham

God spoke through the Prophet Daniel showing them in visions “... with the clouds of heaven there came one like a son of man (Jesus), .... And to him was given everlasting power and glory and a kingdom, that all peoples, nations, and languages should serve him.

And God spoke through the Prophet Isaiah ”But he (Jesus) was wounded for the wrong things we did. He was crushed for the evil things we did. The punishment, which made us well, was given to him. And we are healed because of his wounds. We all have wandered away like sheep. Each of us has gone his own way. But the Lord has put on him the punishment for all the evil we have done. Isaiah 52:5-6

Our punishment was given to Jesus and we are made well. Be a witness!

Our Rescuer

Next Week: Everything made new!

Our Prayer

Father, Thank you for your plan of redemption began in the Garden of Eden. From the beginning You are the Way Maker our Rescuer. Blessed be the Name of the Lord. In Jesus Name we pray, Amen.

Be a Witness With Great Effect

God’s Word for Every Day

And another time when he appeared to them, they asked him, “Lord, are you going to free Israel from Rome now and restore us as an independent nation?”“The Father sets those dates,” he replied, “and they are not for you to know. But when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, you will receive power to testify (be a witness) about me with great effect, to the people in Jerusalem, throughout Judea, in Samaria, and to the ends of the earth, about my death and resurrection.” Acts 1:6-8

Mr. Jim and Mrs. Hardman pray for the power of the Holy Spirit to be a witness of great effect.

Worship and Praise God, our Father, Jesus, His Son, and the Holy Spirit

Witnessing is sharing our life in Christ by telling about and living like it.

Witnessing is telling others our personal story of Jesus’s love, forgiveness, and salvation.

The proof and evidence of our story is the fruit of the Holy Spirit, our life in Jesus.

One Way - Your the Only One I Can Live For

Why be a witness?

Jesus said no one will know or is permitted to know the fulfillment of time.

The fulfillment of time is when Jesus comes back and reigns as King forever.

Only God knows when Jesus will come back.

Until time is fulfilled, be a witness.

The Holy Spirit is the power of our witness.

The power of our witness is the Holy Spirit.

The Holy Spirit has come upon us and is in us when we trusted Jesus as Savior and Lord.

The Holy Spirit in us testify about Jesus with great effect.

The Holy Spirit continuously changes us to be a witness of great effect.

Go and Make Disciples of All Nations

Be a witness of great effect in union with the Holy Spirit.

Read God’s word to be in union with the Holy Spirit.

Pray to be in union with the Holy Spirit.

Cry out to be in union with the Holy Spirit.

Be Bold, Be Strong - The Lord Your God is With You

Our Prayer

Father, We pray and desire for the power of the Holy Spirit to develop me into a witness of great effect for the kingdom of God. We cry out to be one with the Holy Spirit to be a witness of great effect in our neighborhood, our town, our state, our country, and the world. Where the Holy Spirit takes us. Go and Make Disciples

God’s Word for Every Day

He told his disciples, “I have been given all authority in heaven and earth. Therefore go and make disciples in all the nations, baptizing them into the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and then teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you; and be sure of this—that I am with you always, even to the end of the world.” Matthew 28:18-20

Mr. Jim and Mrs. Hardman pray for the power of Jesus to go and make disciples teaching them to obey all the commands.

Worship and Praise God, our Father, Jesus, His Son, and the Holy Spirit

Since Jesus has been given all authority in heaven and earth: Come to Him. Trust Him. Listen to Him. Treasure Him above all else. Abide in Him like a branch in the Vine. Jesus will produce your fruit. Go and make disciples.

Send Me Out to make Jesus known

Jesus Tells His Disciples

Jesus tells us to go and make disciples.

Before ascending to Heaven.

He told 11 disciples to go and make more disciples.

The ‘more’ disciples are to go and make more disciples.

We are the ‘more’ disciples.

Go and Make Disciples

Jesus has all power and authority in Heaven and Earth

The Holy Spirit has all the power.

Wherever Jesus calls you, whatever you do, you are never alone.

Be sure of this, the Holy Spirit is with Jesus disciples always.

Since Jesus is with us by the Holy Spirit, we can do what Jesus has commanded.

Jesus has commanded us to go and make disciples.

Love the Lord Your God

Therefore, Jesus is the power that

Convinces people of sin.

Leads people in all nations to the Savior, Jesus.

Gives disciples new hearts and right spirits.

Teaches disciples the Word of God.

Helps disciples teach the Word of God to disciples

Transforms disciples hearts to obey the Jesus commands.

Makes disciples of one heart and one mind with Jesus.

Go-Go-Go

Since Jesus has been given all authority in heaven and earth: Come to Him. Trust Him. Listen to Him. Treasure Him above all else. Abide in Him like a branch in the Vine. Jesus will produce your fruit.

Our Prayer

Father, I pray for the power of Jesus in heaven and earth to go and make disciples. Help us to depend on the Holy Spirit to grow us in the knowledge of your word and will and obey your commands, so that we can teach new disciples your commands and to observe them.

Jesus Comes to Us from Heaven

Jesus Goes Back to Heaven and the Holy Spirit is Sent

Jesus Comes Back to Us

God’s Word for Every Day

At that time, there will be something in the sky that shows the Son of Man is coming. All the peoples of the world will cry. They will see the Son of Man coming on clouds in the sky. He will come with great power and glory. He will use a loud trumpet to send his angels all around the earth. They will gather his chosen people from every part of the world. Matthew 24:30-31

Mr. Jim and Mrs. Hardman pray to live in the great joy and great expectation of Jesus' return in all His glory.

Worship and Praise God, our Father, Jesus, His Son, and the Holy Spirit

Emmanuel - God is with us

A child will be born to us. God will give a son to us. He will be responsible for leading the people. His name will be Wonderful Counselor, Powerful God, Father Who Lives Forever, Prince of Peace. Isaiah 9:6

Joy to the World Jesus Comes to Us from Heaven Luke 2:4-14

So Joseph went from Nazareth to Bethlehem the town of David.

He went there to register with Mary, who was expecting a child.

While they were there, the time came for the baby to be born,

She gave birth to her firstborn, a son.

There were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks.

An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them.

The angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord. This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger.”

Suddenly a great company of the heavenly army appeared with the angel, praising God and saying,

“Glory to God in the highest heaven, and on earth peace to those on whom his favor rests.”

Jesus Goes Back to Heaven Acts 1:6-11

You came from Heaven to Earth to show the Way, From the Earth to the Cross my debt to pay, from the Cross to the grave, from the grave to the sky. I Lift your Name on High

Before Jesus was taken up into heaven, Jesus talked to the apostles he had chosen.

With the help of the Holy Spirit, Jesus told them what they should do.

After his death, he showed himself to them and proved he was alive.

He spoke to them about the kingdom of God.

Once when he was eating with the apostles, he told them to stay in Jerusalem.

Jesus said, “The Father has made you a promise which I told you about before.

Wait here to receive this promise; you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit.”

“You will be my witnesses in every part of the world.”

After Jesus said this, as they were watching, he was lifted up.

A cloud hid him from their sight.

As Jesus was going, they were looking into the sky.

Suddenly, two men dressed in white clothes stood beside them.

They said, “Men of Galilee, why are you standing here looking into the sky?

You saw Jesus taken away from you into heaven.

He will come back in the same way you saw him go.”

Jesus is Coming Back to Us Revelation 19:11:16

Then I (John) saw heaven open. There before me was a white horse.

The rider on the horse is called Faithful and True.

He is right when he judges and makes war.

His eyes are like burning fire, and on his head are many crowns.

He is dressed in a robe dipped in blood.

His name is the Word of God.

The armies of heaven were following him on white horses.

They were dressed in fine linen, white and clean.

A sharp sword comes out of the rider’s mouth.

On his robe and on his leg was written this name:

“KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS.”

Our Prayer

How great will be our joy. What a glorious day it will be when Jesus returns. Father, help us live our lives with the great expectation of your return, loving you and loving others, trusting and obeying your word, being the light of Jesus to the world by the power of the Holy Spirit.

The Book of Luke 1: 26-38  Great Joy for All People

God’s Word for Every Day

But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord. Luke 2:10-11 (NIV)

Great Joy in Heaven

An angel of the Lord stood before shepherds.

The glory of the Lord was shining.

The time had come. Today the Saviour is born.

Suddenly there appeared with the angel an army of angels, a host of angels.

The angels were filled with great holy joy and adoration, praising God.

God came to us as Man.

The angels were filled with great holy joy and adoration, praising God.

What a Glorious Night, The Almighty God came to earth to save us.

The angels were filled with great holy joy and adoration, praising God.

Great Joy on Earth

God made man and woman a little lower than the angels.

God took upon Himself human nature—an Infant who was the Beginning and the End!

Away in a Manger a Child who was the Creator of Heaven and earth was born!

God came to earth to deliver us and to bless us.

On earth let there be peace to the people who please God;

Come and see this thing that has happened,

Great Joy on Earth.

Great Joy for All

The glad tidings be unto ALL people.

For 2000 years the word has been told about this child.

ALL who hear the Word and come near Him are amazed and believe.

ALL who believe are saved.

Glorify and Praise God,

Joy to the World, Great Joy for ALL

Our Prayer

Father, How great our joy; God has come from Heaven to Earth. What a glorious night it was. What a glorious day it is, everyday because God came to us. We join the Heavenly Host, the angelic army, praising God and saying, “Glory to God in the highest heaven, and on earth peace to those on whom his favor rests.”  In Jesus name, Amen.

The Book of Luke 1: 26-38  The Holy Son of God, He Came to Us

God’s Word for Every Day

“And the angel answered her, ‘The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you; therefore the child to be born will be called holy — the Son of God.” Luke 1:35

Mr. Jim and Mrs. Hardman pray that we humble ourselves before God; hungering for bread of life, Jesus; and worship Him in the power of the Holy Spirit.

Worship and Praise God, our Father, Jesus, His Son, and the Holy Spirit

Jesus is God

In the beginning was the Word (Jesus), and the Word was God. John 1:1

In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. Genesis 1:1

And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. Genesis 1:2

God is the Father; God is the Son; God is the Holy Spirit.

O What a Glorious God

Jesus was Man

The angel Gabriel said to Mary:

“Don’t be afraid, Mary, because God is pleased with you.

Listen! You will become pregnant.

The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will cover you.

You will give birth to a son, and you will name him Jesus.

He will be called the Son of God.”

Mary Did You Know?

Jesus is Holy

The baby will be holy. Luke 1:35

Jesus born without sin.

Jesus is God and man.

Jesus is the sinless ‘Lamb of God.’

Mary’s soul praises Lord:

His name is holy.

God will always give mercy to those who worship him.

He scatters the people who are proud and think great things about themselves.

He raises up the humble.

God fills the hungry with good things, but he sends the rich away with nothing.

Our Prayer

Father, we praise you for Jesus, our Lord. In the fulfillment of time you gave the greatest gift, the Holy Son of God came to us. How great our joy praising our Savior all the day long. We praise as Mary did: God will be merciful to us who worship him; He will raise up we who are humble; and fill us who are hungry with good things. In Jesus name, Amen.

The Book of Romans 16:25-26 The Mystery Revealed!

God’s Word for Every Day

To them God has chosen to make known among the Gentiles the glorious riches of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory. Colossians 1:27

Mr. Jim and Mrs. Hardman pray we seek, know, and fulfill God’s call on our life by the power of the Holy Spirit.

Worship and Praise God, our Father, Jesus, His Son, and the Holy Spirit

Romans 16:25-26 All of our praise rises to the One who is strong enough to make you strong, exactly as preached in Jesus Christ, precisely as revealed in the mystery kept secret for so long but now an open book through the prophetic Scriptures. All the nations of the world can now know the truth and be brought into obedient belief, carrying out the orders of God, who got all this started, down to the very last letter.

O What a Glorious Night

Zacharias, the father of John filled with the Holy Spirit prophesied the mystery

Luke 1:68-79

Praise the Lord, for he has come to visit his people and has redeemed them.

He is sending us a Mighty Savior from the royal line of his servant David,

Someone to save us from our enemies, from all who hate us.

He remembered his promise to Abraham himself,

“And you, my little son (John), shall be called the prophet of the glorious God,

For you will prepare the way for the Messiah.”

Who is the Mystery

Jesus, the Messiah, himself is the mystery.

By his virgin birth,

By his holy life,

By his sinless life,

By his death for us upon the cross,

By his resurrection,

By the gift of the Holy Spirit.

God has given Jesus -- all that he is and all that he has -- to you and to me.

Jesus, the Messiah, himself is the Mystery.

The Mystery Revealed

God kept this secret for centuries before.

Now at last it pleased him to tell it to those who love him and live for him.

God sent Paul to help his Church and to tell his secret plan to you Gentiles, too.

This is the secret: Christ in your hearts is your only hope of glory.

Joy to the World

Our Prayer

Father, thank you for your faithfulness and daily bread. Through Christ we desire to know and fulfill God’s call on our life each day by the power of the Holy Spirit. We celebrate the birth of Christ our Lord, the promised one from ages past, the glorious riches of the mystery revealed, our only hope of glory. I pray your ways will always be our ways. Thank you Father for our salvation through Jesus Christ our Lord.  In Jesus name, Amen.

The Book of Romans 15:14-33 Do what God calls you to do!

God’s Word for Every Day

Paul was called to ‘preach the Good News in places where people have never heard of Christ.’ Romans 15:20

Mr. Jim and Mrs. Hardman pray we seek, know, and fulfill God’s call on our life by the power of the Holy Spirit.

Worship and Praise God, our Father, Jesus, His Son, and the Holy Spirit

The Apostle Paul was given a special gift: to be a minister of Christ Jesus to the non-Jewish people. He served God by teaching his Good News, so that the non-Jewish people could be an offering that God would accept—an offering made holy by the Holy Spirit.

Each of us is given a special gift to be a minister of Christ Jesus to people.

Therefore, be a minister of Christ Jesus boasting only in what He is doing in you and through you, because God’s Work is our work and we will keep working until God is finished.

Be a Minister of Christ Jesus

Because of the Amazing Grace that was given to me from God

  • Be an example - Be Kind. Be Good. Be Giving. Be Gentle.

  • Seek and be filled with the full knowledge of God to teach others.

  • Cry out for wisdom to live a righteous life and guide and counsel others to the same.

  • Be holy as Christ is Holy.

Boast in what Christ Jesus is doing in you and through you

Be a ready, willing, and obedient servant of Christ Jesus

Speak of what Christ has done through you by His gifts and power

God gives. Therefore, give back to God what He has given you

I Will Follow You

God’s Work is our work, so we will keep working until God is finished

Start God’s work now

Be faithful doing God’s work

Set a goal according to God’s work to be done through you

Act on the goal to accomplish God’s work

Be committed to God’s work until God is finished.

God’s abundant Blessing will follow through Christ Jesus.

Our Prayer

Father, Blessed be your name. Thank you for the amazing grace you have given to all who believe and the power of the Holy Spirit to do your work. Each day, help us love You with all of our heart, mind, soul, and strength and love our neighbor as ourselves being patient and kind, not rude or seeking our own way. As a minister of Jesus Christ, I pray we extend mercy and grace and speak the Good News to people who have not heard of Christ. Amen.

Mr. Jim and Mrs. Hardman’s prayer

Worship and Praise God, our Father, Jesus, His Son, and the Holy Spirit

I am a Friend of God

Doing that for the Lord Romans 14:6

There are 2 followers of Jesus:

  • One follower believes God said eat all kinds of food.

  • One follower believes God said to eat only vegetables.

  • Because you believe eating all kinds of food is right, don’t force your brother to.

  • Because you believe God said eat only vegetables, don’t judge your brother.

Each follower is doing that for the Lord.

Give thanks to the Lord.

Live for the Lord   Romans 14:8

We do not live or die for ourselves.

We belong to the Lord.

Jesus died (for me) and rose from death to live again.

Jesus is Lord over both the living and the dead.

Every knee will bow to Jesus.

So, do not judge your brother in Christ or cause him to stumble.

Love him and live for the Lord.

Follow the way of love   Romans 14:15

Love all believers.

Do nothing that will make your Christian brother sin.

If we hurt our Christian brother’s faith, then we are not really following the way of love. Do not destroy your Christian brother’s faith. Christ died for him.

Live right with God. Romans 14:17

Do what makes peace and helps one another. Romans 14:19

Follow the way of love.

I Got Peace, Love and Joy

I say this because we live in an important time. Yes, it is NOW time for you to wake up from your sleep. Our salvation is nearer now than when we first believed. The “night”is almost finished. The “DAY”is almost here. So we should stop doing things that belong to darkness and take up the weapons used for fighting in the light. Let us live in a right way, as in the daytime. …  But CLOTHE YOURSELVES with the Lord Jesus Christ. Forget about satisfying your sinful self. Romans 13:11-13

The Lord’s Prayer

NOW is the time between Jesus' resurrection and ascension and His return.

Now, sin and pain and death abound.

NOW, repent.

NOW, if we are in Christ, we are a new creation. 2 Corinthians 5:17

NOW, the Kingdom of God has come near. Mark 1:15

NOW, seek God’s purpose.

NOW, trust God.

NOW, the Holy Spirit lives in each child of God.

NOW, go and make disciples.

NOW, LOVE GOD and LOVE OTHERS.

That ‘DAY’ is almost here.

Jesus promised that ‘DAY’.

  • There are many rooms in My Father’s house.

  • Jesus went there to prepare a place for you.

  • Jesus said he will come back.

  • Jesus will take us with him, to be where He is.

  • Jesus is the Way. Follow Him.

40 days after Jesus resurrected from the dead, He was taken to Heaven.

Angels told the disciples Jesus will return the same way He was taken to heaven.

There is a DAY He is coming back.

That ‘DAY’ is almost here.

On THAT DAY every knee will bow.

EVERY DAY - Clothe yourselves with the cLord Jesus Christ.

EVERY DAY Jesus is Lord of our life.

EVERY DAY Jesus is Lord wherever we are.

EVERY DAY Jesus is Lord of everything we say.

EVERY DAY Jesus is Lord of everything we do.

EVERY DAY Jesus is Lord of everything we think.

EVERY DAY Jesus is Lord of everything we desire.

EVERY DAY I trust Jesus.

EVERY DAY my hope is in Jesus.

EVERY DAY everyone will see the light of Jesus in us.

Our Prayer

Father, thank you that NOW is the time to glorify your name, to accomplish your purpose trusting you as the Holy Spirit lives in each one of us, that we can go and make disciples, and love you with all your heart, mind, soul, and strength and love others as ourselves. We look forward to that DAY when you return, the DAY that you're coming back, the DAY that's almost here. I pray as we await that DAY that every day we will acknowledge Jesus is Lord of our life and He will be Lord of what we say, what we do, what we think, what we desire, trusting in Jesus - Our Hope for all things, for all people, Jesus the light to them. The Book of Matthew The Best Harvest Party… Ever

God’s Word for Every Day

But Christ has indeed been raised from the dead, the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep. 1 Corinthians 15:20

Mr. Jim and Mrs. Hardman’s prayer is for thy Kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Trust Jesus and make him Lord of your life.

Raise A Hallelujah

The Passover

The Israelites were slaves in Egypt for over 200 years.

The Pharaoh would not let the people go.

‘So Moses said to the king, “This is what the Lord says: ‘Every firstborn son in the land of Egypt will die. The firstborn son of the king, will die.

Then you will know that the Lord treats Israel differently from Egypt. When I see the blood of the perfect lamb on the sides and tops of the door frames, I will pass over them and their firstborn will not die.

Every year the Israelites (Jews) celebrate the Passover on the 14th day of the first month of the year.

Jesus, the Perfect Lamb of God was crucified when the Israelites (Jews) celebrated the Passover on the 14th day of the first month of the year.

‘The Seed’ Jesus was planted (buried) in the tomb when he died.

The Feast of First Fruits

The Jews were instructed by God to bring First Fruits from the ground to the Harvest Feast each year. Deuteronomy 26:1-10

Take some of the first of all the fruit of the ground, which you harvest from your land that the Lord your God is giving you, and put it in a basket. Go to the priest who is in office at that time. The priest will take the basket from your hand and set it down before the altar of the Lord your God. Go and worship before the Lord your God.

And behold, now I bring the first of the fruit of the ground, which you, O Lord, have given me.’ And you shall set it down before the Lord your God and worship before the Lord your God.

Jesus the perfect Lamb was killed and buried on Friday, the day of the Passover Feast. Jesus the ‘Seed’ was planted.

The day after Jesus died was the Sabbath.

The Jews were bringing their fruit of the ground to the priests on the first day of the week for the Harvest Feast.

Then the Best Harvest Party Ever began ‘The day after the Sabbath, the first day of the week.’

Victorious God

At dawn on the first day, Mary Magdalene and another woman named Mary went to look at the tomb. At that time there was a strong earthquake. An angel of the Lord came down from heaven. The angel went to the tomb and rolled the stone away from the entrance. Then he sat on the stone. He was shining as bright as lightning. His clothes were white as snow. The soldiers guarding the tomb were very frightened of the angel. They shook with fear and then became like dead men.

The angel said to the women, “Don’t be afraid. I know that you are looking for Jesus, the one who was killed on the cross. But he is not here. He has risen from death as he said he would.

Jesus was raised from the dead on the day of the First Fruit Harvest Feast.

Jesus was the ‘First Fruit’ risen from the dead.

All who believe in Him and will be raised from the dead.

Jesus was the ‘Seed’ planted and was the ‘First Fruit’ raised from the dead.

From the ‘first fruit’ you who believe in Jesus will be raised from the dead.

On the day Jesus rose from the dead, who was at The Best Harvest Party Ever?

Read Matthew 28.

You can be at the Harvest Party in Heaven if you trust Jesus.

Call on Him to save you and make Him Lord of all.

This Harvest Party will last for all eternity.

He Arose - The First of Many

Our Prayer

Father, We look forward to gathering in heaven with all those who are raised from the dead because of Jesus, the ‘First Fruit’. We pray our faith matures, love for the lost increases to share the Gospel, and a desire to obey your commands loving you. Thank you for In Jesus Name, Amen.

Get Ready for the Best Harvest Party… Ever

A Seed is planted.

God’s Word for Every Day

I (Jesus) tell you the truth. A grain of wheat must fall to the ground and die. Then it makes many seeds. John 12:24

Mr. Jim and Mrs. Hardman’s prayer is for you to know Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord.

Worship and Praise

This is Amazing Grace.

The Israelites were slaves in Egypt for over 200 years.

The Pharaoh would not let the people go. Exodus 11:4-7

‘So Moses said to the king, “This is what the Lord says: ‘About midnight tonight I will go through all Egypt. Every firstborn son in the land of Egypt will die. The firstborn son of the king, will die. The firstborn of the slave girl grinding grain will die. The firstborn farm animals will die. There will be loud crying everywhere in Egypt. But not even a dog will bark at the Israelites or their animals.’ Then you will know that the Lord treats Israel differently from Egypt.

The Jewish Feast - Passover Exodus 12:1-13

But the Pharaoh would not let the people go.

12 The Lord spoke to Moses and Aaron in the land of Egypt:

On the tenth day of this month each man must get one lamb.

The lamb must be a one-year-old male.

It must have nothing wrong with it, a perfect lamb.

On the fourteenth day of the month kill lambs.

Take some of the blood and put it on the sides and tops of the door frames.

Roast the lamb over a fire.

Then eat it with your sandals on.

Eat it in a hurry. This is the Lord’s Passover.

This night I (the Lord) will go through the land of Egypt.

I will kill all the firstborn of animals and people in the land of Egypt.

But the blood will be a sign on the houses where you are.

When I see the blood, I will pass over you.

Nothing terrible will hurt you when I punish the land of Egypt.

A Holy Feast to Remember the Passover

After the Israelites left Egypt, the Lord commanded Moses to appoint feasts, holy meetings, each year. The Lord’s Passover, the first holy meeting, is on the fourteenth day of the first month.

Jesus, the Perfect Lamb of God was Crucified when the Israelites (Jews) celebrated the Passover.

Lord I Lift Your Name on High

Jesus was beaten down and punished. But he didn’t say a word.

He was like a lamb being led to be killed.

He was quiet. He never opened his mouth.

He was put to death.

He was punished for the sins of my people.

He had done nothing wrong.

He had never lied.

He was the perfect Lamb of God.

If you confess your sins to Jesus and believe Jesus was punished by God for your sins and ask Jesus to forgive you … Jesus is faithful and just to forgive you and cleanse you from all unrighteousness.

He is the Passover Lamb.

Jesus is the seed planted.

I (Jesus) tell you the truth. A grain of wheat must fall to the ground and die. Then it makes many seeds. John 12:24

O Lord, My God, I Will Give Thanks to You Forever

Our Prayer

Father, You are good. Thank you for loving us so much that you gave your one and only Son. the perfect Lamb of God to die for the sins of the world. You are worthy of our worship and praise and our lives, a living sacrifice. In Jesus Name, Amen.

When someone does bad things to me I want Jesus to be Lifted High.

When someone does bad things to you, glorify Jesus by the way you act.

When someone does bad things to you, do good to them.

When someone does bad things to you, do not hurt them.

When someone does bad things to you, do not do bad to them in return.

When someone does bad things to you, glorify Jesus by the way you talk.

When someone does bad things to you, do not say bad things about them. When someone does bad things to you, be kind to them.

When someone does bad things to you, pray they will ask Jesus into their heart.

When someone does bad things to you, pray they hear the Holy Spirit.

Pray by God given faith to tell about Jesus as Lord.

Reflect Jesus.

Be happy with those who are happy.

Be sad with those who are sad.

Do your best to live in peace with everyone.

Magnify Jesus

Do not be proud,

Do not think how smart you are.

Make friends with those who seem unimportant.

Glorify God - Try to do what is right in everyone’s sight.

If your enemy is hungry, feed him;

If your enemy is thirsty, give him a drink.

Do not let evil defeat you. Defeat evil by doing good.

Watch and listen to LOVE others when it is hard.

Our Prayer

Father, You are good. We glorify you is all we do. When others do not treat us right, help us love them. Thank you for your faithfulness, providing us faith, truth, and grace to be a living sacrifice, a testimony to others. We pray for people who treat us badly to know Jesus loves them. He died for them. We pray they trust Him as Savior and Lord. In Jesus Name, Amen.

The Book of Romans Really Love

God’s Word for Every Day

Your love must be real. Hate what is evil. Hold on to what is good. Romans 12:9

Mr. Jim and Mrs. Hardman’s prayer is for our love to be real, hating evil, and holding on to what is good.

Worship and Praise - Really Love

Love in Action

Read Romans 12:9

Romans 12:9 Your love must be real.

Really love, God really loved us. He died for our sins.

Really love, God really loves us.

Really love, don’t pretend like we do.

Really Love the Lord, confess to God and repent when we don’t really love.

Really love, ask God to for His heart to love all the time.

Really love, love is the most excellent way.

Romans 12:9 Hate what is evil.

There are seven things he (God) cannot stand: a proud look, a lying tongue, hands that kill innocent people, a mind that thinks up evil plans, feet that are quick to do evil, a witness who tells lies, and a man who causes trouble among brothers. Proverb 6:17-19

What God says is evil is evil.

Real love for God hates evil.

Stay away from evil.

Evil in us blocks out the beauty of Jesus Christ.

Real love for others hates evil.

Hate evil. Love others.

Evil gets in the way of loving others.

Hate evil. Love Others. Jesus Be Glorified.

Romans 12:9 Hold on to what is good.

Love is patient and kind. Love is not jealous, it does not brag, and it is not proud. Love is not rude, is not selfish, and does not become angry easily. Love does not remember wrongs done against it. 6 Love takes no pleasure in evil, but rejoices over the truth. Love patiently accepts all things. It always trusts, always hopes, and always continues strong. 1 Corinthians 13:4-7

Brothers, continue to think about the things that are good and worthy of praise. Think about the things that are true and honorable and right and pure and beautiful and respected. Philippians 4:8

God’s commandments tell us what good is.

Jesus’ life shows us what is good.

Real love holds on to what is good.

Real love is good to others, A Good Samari-friend

Real love is good and Jesus is glorified.

Our Prayer

Father, Thank you for loving us and giving us your commands. Jesus thank you for showing us what real love looks like and loving us so much to take the punishment for our sin. Thank you Holy Spirit for coming and dwelling in me, guiding me, helping me to really love. I pray that I will hate evil, obey your commands, and hold on to what is good always. I pray you will be glorified and help me to be your witness by really loving and telling others the Good News.

Jesus loves you. He died for you. Jesus is the Way, the Truth, and the Life.

Believe Him. Trust Him. Believe in Him,

Confess your sins to Him, now. He will forgive you. Believe that he died and rose again and make Him Lord of your Life.

If you prayed this prayer, crying out to God from your heart, you are saved. Amen

The Book of Romans  My Living is an Act of God Given Faith

God’s Word for Every Day

God has given me a special gift. That is why I have something to say to everyone among you. Do not think that you are better than you are. You must see yourself as you really are. Decide what you are by the amount of faith God has given you. Romans 12:3

Mr. Jim and Mrs. Hardman’s prayer is for our lives to glorify God, lift Jesus high, build up the body of Christ, and draw all men to Jesus.

Worship and Praise

My Living is an Act of God Given Faith

Romans 12:1-8

Glorious God

I am a living and holy sacrifice.

  • I treasure God above all things.

  • Jesus is more precious to me than anything.

  • I love God with all my heart, mind, soul, and strength?

  • I live to make God glorious.

My mind has been made new.

  • I have a new way of thinking.

  • I want what God wills to be done.

  • I want whatever God wants.

Romans 12:6-8 We all have different gifts. Each gift came because of the grace that God gave us. If one has the gift of prophecy, he should use that gift with the faith he has. 7If one has the gift of serving, he should serve. If one has the gift of teaching, he should teach. 8If one has the gift of encouraging others, he should encourage. If one has the gift of giving to others, he should give freely. If one has the gift of being a leader, he should try hard when he leads. If one has the gift of showing kindness to others, that person should do so with joy.

God gives me faith for the gifts of the Holy Spirit given to me.

  • My gifts are for God’s glory in the body of Christ.

  • My gifts are to accomplish His purpose in the body of Christ.

  • My gifts are used for His service in the body of Christ.

We Want to See Jesus Lifted High

I am a living and holy sacrifice.

  • I treasure God above all things.

  • Jesus is more precious to me than anything.

  • I love God with all my heart, mind, soul, and strength?

  • I live to make God glorious.

Our Prayer

Father, You are my treasure. We glorify your name. Thank you for faith to use the gifts of the Holy Spirit to accomplish your purpose and serve you. We exalt you. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Jesus is the Way, the Truth, and the Life. If you believe in Jesus, confess your sins to Him, now. He will forgive you. Believe that he died and rose again and make Him Lord of your Life. Amen

The Good News - He is the Rescuer

Romans 10:14-15

Before people can trust in the Lord for help, they must believe in him.

Before they can believe in the Lord, they must hear about him.

To hear about the Lord, someone must tell them.

Before someone can go and tell them, he must be sent.

The Book of Romans  ‘God Chooses’

God’s Word for Every Day

So God will choose the one he decides to show mercy to. And his choice does not depend on what people want or try to do. Romans 9:15-16

Mr. Jim and Mrs. Hardman’s prayer is for you to see the glory of God, to treasure the glory of God, to enjoy the glory of God, to be merciful as God is merciful, and for the knowledge of the riches of the glory of God to increase forever and ever.

Romans 9 God Will Choose Christians

In John 15:16 Jesus said, “But now I call you friends because I have made known to you everything I heard from my Father. You did not choose me; I chose you.

Romans 9:14-16 Since God chooses, is God unfair? In no way. God said to Moses, “I will show kindness to anyone I want to show kindness. I will show mercy to anyone I want to show mercy.” So God will choose the one he decides to show mercy to. And his choice does not depend on what people want or try to do.

Romans 9:23-24 He wanted to give that glory to the people who receive his mercy. He has prepared these people to have his glory, and we are those people whom God called.

The Lord Bless You and Keep You and Make His Face Shine Upon You

If you are a Christian today — if you confess with your lips that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead:

  • God prepared you before the creation of the world to see the glory of God, to treasure the glory of God, to enjoy the glory of God.

  • You are a vessel of God’s mercy. You did not earn it, you do not deserve. We are sinners and God was merciful. He sent his one and only Son. God forgives us. Be merciful.

  • Our knowledge of the riches of the glory of God will increase forever and ever.

Worship God. I am Chosen. I Am Who You Say I am.

Our Prayer

Father, Your ways are just and fair. Convict us when we think in our mind we deserve salvation or purpose in our heart to earn salvation. Forgive us and remind us that we are a vessel of your mercy, prepared before the creation of the world, to increase our knowledge of the riches of your glory forever. I pray we live humbly, crying out to always to you, Sovereign and Holy God. in Jesus' name, Amen.

‘Nothing Can Separate Us From the Love of God’

Our God is A Great Big God

Romans 9

Paul Cries Out:

O Israel, my people! O my Jewish brothers! How I long for you to come to Christ.

God has given you so much, but still you will not listen to him.

He took you as his own special, chosen people

God Willed

God willed Abraham to be the Father of a Great Nation.

God willed His people to be named through the child promised to Abraham and Sara.

The promised child’s name was Isaac.

God willed Isaac’s older son Esau to serve the younger son Jacob, later called Israel.

God’s people are called the Israelite's.

Not all who came from Israel (Jacob) are true Israelite's.

Just the fact that they come from Abraham doesn’t make them truly Abraham’s children.

Not all of Abraham’s children are children of God.

Only those who believe the promise of salvation which God made to Abraham are children of God.

Jesus Christ is the promise to Abraham for who believes.

Our Prayer

Father, thank you for your great love and faithfulness. I pray God’s will is done, working everything for the good of those who love him and honoring your Great Name. I pray we live humbly, crying out to always to you, Sovereign and Holy God. in Jesus' name, Amen.

Our God is  A Great Big God

Romans 8:26-28 God Works Everything for the Good of Those Who Love Him

The Holy Spirit helps us.

When we pray, the Holy Spirit speaks to God for us, even begs God for us.

God sees and knows what is in our hearts.

He knows what we are praying and why we are praying.

And God knows the mind of the Spirit.

The mind of the Spirit is God’s own will.

The spirit begs for us that God’s will to be done.

WOW!!! We know for sure God works everything for the good of those who love him.

Romans 8:29-31 God is For Us; No One Can Defeat Us.

We are the people God called.

That was his plan.

God knew us before he made the world.

That was His plan.

From the beginning God knew we would be like his Son, Jesus.

Jesus was born.

Then God called us. It was his plan.

We became Jesus’ brother when we believed in Him.

Jesus made us right with God.

God planned it that way.

So what can we say?

WOW !!! WOW !!! God is for us.

WOW !!! WOW !!! No one can defeat us.

Romans 8:33-39 Nothing Can Separate Us from the Love God Has for Us

Who can accuse us before God?

No One. He Chose us. God made us right.

Who can say we are guilty?

No one! Jesus died and took our punishment.

AND He was raised from death.

Can anything separate us from the love of God?

WOW!!! WOW!!! WOW!!! No, we have full victory through God.

WOW!!! WOW!!! WOW!!! WOW!!! Nothing can separate us from the love of God.

Father, thank you for your great love and faithfulness. I pray God’s will is done, working everything for the good of those who love him and honoring your Great Name. I pray we live humbly, crying out to always to you, Sovereign and Holy God. in Jesus' name, Amen.

The Book of Romans ‘But God’ - His Mercy, Grace, and Love

God’s Word for Every Day

But God’s mercy is great, and he loved us very much. We were spiritually dead because of the things we did wrong against God. But God gave us new life with Christ. You have been saved by God’s grace. Ephesians 2:4-5

Mr. Jim and Mrs. Hardman’s prayer is for you to rejoice for what God has done.

Worship God - A Gift to You

Worship and Praise God the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit

‘But God’ - His Mercy, Grace, and Love

Read the verses and sing the songs.

‘But God’ We’re Alive

The phrase ‘But God’ in the Bible signals when God will intervene or intercede with His mercy, grace and love.

The Bible tells of many circumstances when God rescued us. The greatest of all was when Christ stepped in to die for us.’

Ephesians 2:4-5 But God’s mercy is great, and he loved us very much. We were spiritually dead because of the things we did wrong against God. But God gave us new life with Christ. You have been saved by God’s grace.

Since God rescued us ‘But God’ our life changed ‘But we’ …, ‘But those’ …, ‘But if’ …, ‘But you’ ... But if’

Romans 8:3-4 He sent his own Son to earth with the same human life that others use for sin. He sent his Son to be an offering to pay for sin. So God used a human life to destroy sin. He did this so that we could be right as the law said we must be. Now we do not live following our sinful selves, but we live following the Spirit.

But those who follow the Spirit Want to Be More Like You

Romans 8:5-6 … . But those who live following the Spirit are thinking about the things that the Spirit wants them to do. … . But if his thinking is controlled by the Spirit, then there is life and peace.

But if Christ is in you the battle has been won by the Victorious God

Romans 8:9-11 But you are not ruled by your sinful selves. You are ruled by the Spirit, if that Spirit of God really lives in you. … . But if Christ is in you, then the Spirit gives you life, because Christ made you right with God. God raised Jesus from death. And if God’s Spirit is living in you, then he will also give life to your bodies that die.

Our Prayer

Father, thank you for seeing our need for salvation and sending Jesus, leaving heavenly glory to become the only sacrifice worthy of your holiness. By the power and ruling of the Holy Spirit, we ask for His help to guide us to real life and peace on earth and eternal life. I pray in Jesus' name, Amen.

Jesus teaches us how to pray to GOD  Our Father.

Worship God - Right Living is Right Giving

Read or have some read to you Romans 3: 25-26

And God gave Jesus to show today that God does what is right. God did this so that he could judge rightly and also make right any person who has faith in Jesus.

God displayed the life-giving sacrifice so all could see the payment of sin and the restoring the relationships between God and man received through faith by Jesus blood. The sacrifice of His Son was to demonstrate His righteousness which demands punishment for sin, because in God’s patience He passed over the sins committed before Jesus’ crucifixion. This sacrifice of His son was to demonstrate God’s righteousness at that time, so He would be just and fair and the One who makes rights those who have faith in Jesus and confidently rely on Him as Savior.

How is God right(eous)?

God is the perfect truth.

God is the perfect law giver.

God is perfectly fair.

God is perfectly just.

God is full of grace

God is perfect mercy.

God is the perfect judge.

God hates sin.

God forgave the sins of men and women when a perfect sacrifice was offered.

God punishes the sinner.

God makes sinners right who put their faith in Him.

What did God do to show He judges rightly?

He sent Jesus.

Jesus is perfect, without sin.

Jesus is the Truth.

Jesus was the perfect sacrifice. It was for our sins that he was crucified on the cross.

Jesus was punished for the sins of all people, since Adam and Eve.

Jesus is the Way to Eternal Life.

How did God make any person right?

We are made right before God believing in the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved.

Jesus took the punishment for my sins.

God sees me sinless, because Jesus paid the price.

For God loved the world so much that he gave his only Son. God gave his Son so that whoever believes in him may not be lost, but have eternal life.

For God loved me so much that he gave his only Son. God gave his Son so that whoever believes in him may not be lost, but have eternal life.

Our Prayer

Father, thank you for your righteousness. Thank you for being faithful to who you are as the righteous God, the one we trust, hold on to, never let go. I worship and adore my Savior Jesus who willingly suffered for the sin of all men and women, sitting at God’s right hand. I pray for the peace of God over you as you walk the straight path. In Jesus Name, Amen.

Book of Romans:1-3 All Are Guilty of Sin

God’s Word for Every Day

A person is made right with God through faith (in Jesus), not through what he does to follow the law. Romans 3:28

Mr. Jim and Mrs. Hardman’s prayer is for you to believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved. God did this so that he could judge rightly and also make right any person who has faith in Jesus.

Worship and Praise God - Sing along with these songs

I believe My Redeemer Lives.

You are the Peace in my troubled sea, My Lighthouse.

The person who is made right with God by faith will live Forever.

Worship God - Giving

Romans 3;23-24 All people have sinned and are not good enough for God’s glory. People are made right with God by his grace, which is a free gift. Therefore, give freely.

Paul wrote to Christians in Rome

Paul was Jewish. Watch how Paul met Jesus. Paul was a Christian.

The Romans who read the letter were Christians, Jews and Gentiles. Gentiles are people who are not Jewish.

In Chapters 1-3 Paul, a Jew, is explaining to the Roman Christians that Jews are not better than others. No! Jews and non-Jews are the same. We are all guilty of sin. Romans 3:9

Romans 1:18 God’s anger is shown from heaven against all the evil and wrong things that people do.

Everything that may be known about God has been made clear.

Romans 1:20 There are things about God that people cannot see—his eternal power and all the things that make him God. …. They are made clear by what God has made. Watch this!

So people have no excuse for the bad things they do.

The Jews received the law.

Click the word law, and watch Moses receiving the law, the 10 commandments.

Hearing the law does not make people right with God. The law makes people right with God only if they obey what the law says. Romans 2:13

It is impossible to obey the law perfectly. The law shows that Jews and Gentiles are sinful and guilty of punishment.

And, “The Good News that I (Paul) preach says that God will judge everyone through Christ Jesus. Romans 2:16 Watch Jesus parable about the Judgement here.

Question: How can ‘Good News’ be that God will judge everyone through Christ Jesus?

Answer: Read John 3:16

Our Prayer

Father, Holy is your Name. How wonderful you are. How gracious and faithful you are. Help us see your power and majesty in all of creation and your love for us by the gift of and hope in and forgiveness through Jesus Christ. Forgive us our sin as we forgive those who sin against us. Purify our hearts by the Holy Spirit. Correct us, lead us into all truth. Oh, that we will hunger and thirst for righteousness, being light and salt of the earth. In Jesus Name, Amen.

Job - An Example to His Children

God’s Word for Every Day

Children, do what your parents tell you. This is only right. Ephesians 6:1

Mr. Jim and Mrs. Hardman’s prayer is for you to be totally devoted to God.

He (Job) was honest inside and out, a man of his word, who was totally devoted to God and hated evil with a passion (all his heart). Job 1:1

Worship and Praise God - Sing along with these songs

God gives a promise to Father Abraham.

Jesus teaches us how to pray to GOD Our Father.

Our Father is a Great Big God.

Worship God - Giving God Knows Job is Always Faithful

God said to Satan, “Have you noticed my friend Job? There’s no one quite like him—honest and true to his word, totally devoted to God and hating evil.”

Satan said, “But what do you think would happen if you reached down and took away everything that is his? He’d curse you right to your face, that’s what.”

God replied, “We’ll see.”

My Dad

My Dad is so strong, he can lift anything, I’m told,

A big bag of groceries, maybe a telephone pole.

He uses his arms to hug me so tight

When he wakes me up in the morning

and puts me to bed at night.

He lifts me up when I am sad.

Yes, he is the very best dad.

He plays games with me and has races we run

And reads me stories, he’s so much fun.

He teaches me things that I should know;

How to treat others and let God’s love show,

Biking and hiking, fishing and more,

My dad is so wise, that’s what I adore.

When I’m stuck on my homework, he knows just what to do.

If you need anything, he will do it for you.

He’s loving and caring, and helpful to me.

I believe that my dad is as smart as can be!

He follows God’s example and raises me right.

I am thankful that my dad prays for me each night.

That I might follow Jesus and learn how to pray,

And live for him always each and every day.

Job was a Model to His Children - Who was Job?

Job 1:1 He was an honest man and innocent of any wrong. He honored God and stayed away from evil.

How many children did Job have? Job had 20 children in all. 14 boys and 6 girls.

How can Job have 20 children? He only has 7 boys and 3 girls.

Job 1:2 Job had seven sons and three daughters.

Job 42:13 Job also had seven sons and three daughters.

Watch the Story of Job to learn how Job had 20 children.

Job was an example to his 20 children. See how below.

Job 1:4 He prayed.

Job 31:5 I have not been a dishonest person. I have not lied to others.

Job 31:7 I have not turned away from doing what is right.

Job 31:13 I have been fair to the people who work for me,

even when they complain about me.

Job 31:16 I have never refused anything the poor wanted.

I have never let a woman whose husband died give up hope.

Job 31:17 I have not kept my food to myself. I have also given it to the orphans.

Job 31:18 Since I was young, I have been like a father to the orphans.

Job 31:19 I have not let a person die because he had no clothes.

I have not let a needy person go without a coat.

Job 31:24 I have not put my trust in money.

Job 31:29 I have not been happy when my enemy was ruined.

I have not laughed when he had trouble.

Job 31:31 The men say, ‘Everyone has eaten all he wants of Job’s food.’

Job 31:32 No stranger ever had to spend the night in the street.

Job 31:39 I did not take the land’s harvest without paying.

Our Prayer

Father, thank you for your faithfulness and love. Thank you for fathers and the Word and Holy Spirit that guides them. I pray for fathers as they instruct their children in the way they should go, your way. I pray fathers are kept from temptation and the evil one. Guide our children in their desires that they will seek the full knowledge of your will. Obeying you and growing in wisdom, stature, and in favor with God and man. May your blessings follow them as they follow you. In Jesus Name, Amen.

God’s Word for Every Day

Be careful so that you will not fall from your own strong faith. 18 But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. 2 Peter 3:17-18

Mr. Jim and Mrs. Hardman’s prayer this week is for you to grow in grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Worship God - Growing in Grace results in Cheerful Giving

Each person should do as he has decided in his heart—not reluctantly or out of compulsion, since God loves a cheerful giver. 2 Corinthians 9:7

Worship God - Saved by Grace - Grow in Grace

Saved by Grace

Grace is not getting what you deserve.

Grace is God’s undeserved favor.

Why is God’s grace needed?

For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. Romans 3:23

The payment for sin is death. Romans 6:23

Death is separation from God for eternity.

How do I receive the grace of God?

Believe in the Lord Jesus and you will be saved. Acts 16:31

Grow in Grace

Be careful so that you will not fall from your own strong faith. 18 But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. 2 Peter 3:17-18

How do you grow in grace?

Read and desire God’s word

As newborn babies want milk, you should want the pure and simple teaching. By it you can mature in your salvation. 1 Peter 2:2

Keep on going and trust God when troubled by problems or situations.

Consider it all joy, my brethren, when you encounter various trials, 3 knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance. 4 And let endurance have its perfect result, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing, James 1:2-4

Pray - Ask God and listen to the Holy Spirit

Do not worry about anything. But pray and ask God for everything you need. And when you pray, always give thanks. 7 And God’s peace will keep your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. The peace that God gives is so great that we cannot understand it. Philippians 4:6-7

Worship God and serve others

Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ 38 This is the first and greatest commandment. 39 And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself. Matthew 22:36-38

Spend time with and build up of Christians

… there should be no division in the body, but that the members should have the same care for one another,"  1 Cor. 12:25.

Our Prayer

Father, I love you and thank you for your grace. By your grace through faith we are saved. Like the thief being crucified who sought Jesus and received eternal life, I pray for the person reading this to believe in their heart that the perfect Lamb of God, Jesus, died taking the punishment for their sin. Thank you for your Amazing Grace. For my brothers and sisters in Christ, I pray to continually grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and savior, abiding in Him always. In Jesus Name, Amen.

One Race - The Human Race Created, Loved, Saved by God

God’s Word for Every Day

I am the Vine; you are the branches. The one who remains in Me and I in him bears much  fruit, ....7. If you remain in Me and My words remain in you, ask whatever you wish and it will be done for you. 8. My Father is glorified and honored by this, when you bear much fruit, and prove yourselves to be My disciples. John 15:5-8

Mr. Jim and Mrs. Hardman’s prayer this week is for the Holy Spirit to produce fruit  in your life.

Galatians 5:22-23 But when the Holy Spirit controls our lives he will produce this kind of fruit in us: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control; … ( The Living Bible TLB)

God Created One Race - The Human Race

The Human Race is made of every nation, tribe, people, and language of the earth.

Read or have someone read to you the verses from the Bible below.

As you read or listen to the verses, say ‘One Race’ whenever the Bible verse shows us there is one race of people, the human race.

Genesis 1:26-28 Then God said, “Let us make human beings in our image and likeness. And let them rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky. Let them rule over the tame animals, over all the earth and over all the small crawling animals on the earth.” 27. So God created human beings in his image. In the image of God he created them. He created them male and female. 28. God blessed them and said, “Have many children and grow in number. Fill the earth and be its master. Rule over the fish in the sea and over the birds in the sky. Rule over every living thing that moves on the earth.”

Genesis 3:11 God said to the man, “Who told you that you were naked? Did you eat fruit from that tree? I commanded you not to eat from that tree.”

Genesis 3:20 The man named his wife Eve. This is because she is the mother of everyone who ever lived.

John 3:16 “For God loved the world so much that he gave his only Son. God gave his Son so that whoever believes in him may not be lost, but have eternal life.”

2 Peter 3:8-9 But do not forget this one thing, dear friends: To the Lord one day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years is like one day. 9. The Lord is not slow in doing what he promised .... But God is being patient with you. He does not want anyone to be lost. He wants everyone to change his heart and life.

Revelation 7:9, 13-17 Then I looked, and there was a great number of people. There were so many people that no one could count them. They were from every nation, tribe, people, and language of the earth. They were all standing before the throne and before the Lamb. They wore white robes and had palm branches in their hands.

One God, One Race, One Law

John 13:34 “I give you a new command: Love each other. You must love each other as I have loved you.

James 2:8-9 One law rules over all other laws. This royal law is found in the Scriptures: “Love your neighbor as you love yourself.” If you obey this law, then you are doing right. 9. But if you are treating one person as if he were more important than another, then you are sinning.

Our Prayer

Father, You are God. The creator of all mankind. Thank you for loving us so much to send your One and Only Son, Jesus to take the punishment for the sin that each person deserves. Thank you for Amazing Grace. I pray that our love for our neighbor is patient, kind, generous. Our love always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. In Jesus Name, Amen.

The Holy Spirit Comes

God’s Word for Every Day

John 16:7-8 But in fact, it is best for you that I go away, because if I don’t, the Helper won’t come. If I do go away, then I will send him to you. And when he comes, he will

convict the world of its sin, and of God’s righteousness, and of the coming judgment.

Mr. Jim and Mrs. Hardman’s prayer this week is for the Holy Spirit to produce fruit  in your life.

John 16:7 But I tell you the truth. It is better for you that I go away. When I go away I will send the Helper to you.

1. Where is Jesus going?

If you do not know read Acts 1: 9 or see last week’s Children’s Service or

2. Who is the Helper?

Read John 14:26 ‘But the Helper will teach you everything. He will cause you to remember all the things I told you. This Helper is the Holy Spirit whom the Father will

send in my name.’

3. Why is it better that Jesus goes away?

Read John 16:7-8 But in fact, it is best for you that I go away, because if I don’t, the Advocate[a] won’t come. If I do go away, then I will send him to you. And when he

comes, he will convict the world of its sin, and of God’s righteousness, and of the coming judgment.

4. As a believer (a Christian), the Helper is in me. What does the ‘Helper’ or Holy Spirit do?

● He (the Holy Spirit) is the believers’ Helper. The Holy Spirit assists believers in prayer.

● He pleads for believers according to the will of God. The Holy Spirit comforts believers.

● He fills believers with all joy and peace as we trust the Lord. The Holy Spirit makes us holy.

● He leads the believer into righteousness. The Holy Spirit gives spiritual gifts.

● He gives believers wisdom so we can understand God. The Holy Spirit teaches us God’s way.

5. What effect does the Holy Spirit have? What comes from the Holy Spirit? Watch here.

6. If we follow the Holy Spirit, read the Bible, and pray, Peter shows us the results in 1 Peter 3:8-16.

We live together in peace. Try to understand each other. Love each other as brothers. Be kind and humble. Do not do wrong to a person to pay him back for doing wrong to you. Do not insult someone to pay him back for insulting you. But ask God to bless that person. Do not say evil things. Do not tell lies. Do good. By always trying to do good, no one can really hurt you. Look for peace and work for it. Even if we suffer for doing right. Honor Christ as the holy Lord of your life. Explain about the hope you have. But answer gently and respectfully. adapted from 1 Peter 3:8-16

7. See if you can find the Fruit of the Spirit in what Peter is telling us?

Love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control

Our Prayer Father, Thank you for the Holy Spirit’s presence in our life as believers. Help us love and honor you faithfully, love others and tell them about you, do right, make peace, be gentle, have joy in all times, be self controlled. In Jesus Name, Amen.

Worship God - Follow Jesus Example

The apostles saw Jesus during the 40 days after he was raised from death. Acts 1:3

Watch this video of ‘Jesus Ascending’ 40 days after His Resurrection

9After he said this, as they were watching, he was lifted up. A cloud hid him from their sight. 10As he was going, they were looking into the sky. Suddenly, two men wearing white clothes stood beside them. 11They said, “Men of Galilee, why are you standing here looking into the sky? You saw Jesus taken away from you into heaven. He will come back in the same way you saw him go.” Act 1:9-11

After he said this, ….’ What did Jesus say? Let’s check Acts 1:6 and see.

6The apostles were all together. They asked Jesus, “Lord, are you at this time going to give the kingdom back to Israel?” 7 The apostles were ready for Jesus to rule the earth as King right then  in Jerusalem, but Jesus said to them, The Father is the only One who has the authority to decide dates and times. These things are not for you to know. 8But the Holy Spirit will come to you. Then you will receive power. You will be my witnesses—in Jerusalem, in all of Judea, in Samaria, and in every part of the world.”

Now - Follow my example. Read 1 Peter 2:23-24

● Do not sin.

● Do not lie.

● When someone insults you, don’t insult them back.

● If people hurt you for doing good, do not threaten them.

● God will judge correctly.

● Jesus carried our sins in his body on the cross.

● He did this so that we would stop living for sin and start living for what is right.

He (Jesus) will come back in the same way you (the disciples) saw him go.” Act 1:11

Be Ready!!

Worship and Praise God - Pray

Father, Help us to be humble. Help us see our sin, so we can cry out to you for forgiveness. Help us to be pure, holy, gentle, kind, self-controlled, merciful; the light of the world. Help us to desire righteousness more than anything. Help us do right and stand up for you, no matter what. We love You. In Jesus Name, we pray, Amen.

Mr. Jim and Mrs. Hardman pray this week for you to live on earth, as it is in Heaven.

Don’t worry and say, ‘What will we eat?’ or ‘What will we drink?’ or ‘What will we wear?’ Your Father in heaven knows that you need them. The thing you should want most is God’s kingdom and doing what God wants. Then all these other things you need will be given to you. Jesus is the Bread of Life. Matthew 6:31-33

Mr. Jim and Mrs. Hardman pray this week for your Mother’s joy, peace, and strength in God through Jesus.

Mom Obeys God's Truth

A Poem for Your Mom

My mother is special, I’ll tell you just why.

She makes yummy meals and doesn’t have to try.

She helps with my homework, tells stories from her past.

She takes me places just to have a big blast.

She brings me surprises and listens to my tales.

She makes time for me, she never fails.

She tucks me in bed and turns out the light.

When I’m sick she cares for me day and night.

But the best thing that makes my mom special for sure

Is the way that she prays, her heart is so pure.

She doesn’t ask God for any great thing.

Just like Solomon, she asks only for wisdom to bring

To her heart so she can raise me as God wants her to

With patience and love her whole life through.

On her knees she seeks God with all of her heart

So that each day from Him I will never depart.

Thank you sweet mom, for your example of love.

May I always be thankful and keep my eyes on God above.

Worship God through His Word - NOW, Honor and Love Your Mom

Peter says, “So your faith and your hope are in God. Now you have made yourselves pure by obeying the truth. Now you can have true love for your brothers. So love each other deeply with all your heart. 1 Peter 1:21-22 (ICB)

God’s Word for This Week - Living Hope:

Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. God has great mercy, and because of his mercy he gave us a new life. He gave us a living hope because Jesus Christ rose from death. 1 Peter 1:3 (ICB)

Mr. Jim and Mrs. Hardman pray this week for your hope in God through Jesus to grow:

We praise God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ for his great mercy, and because of his mercy a new life, a living hope because Jesus Christ rose from death, and blessings are kept for us in heaven, an assurance of salvation. We pray for our future hope, a confident expectation, creates in us an ever growing desire to love and know you more and love others as ourselves.

Worship God - Living Hope Says ‘... be holy, because I am holy’

1 Peter 1:3 (ICB)  Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. God has great mercy, and because of his mercy he gave us a new life. He gave us a living hope because Jesus Christ rose from death.

What is our Hope?

Hope is a confident expectation of our Father’s love for us, giving his one and only son to die for our sins, raising Jesus from the dead, and preparing a place in Heaven for all who believe.

Read or have someone read the explanations of Hope. Which explanations do you think Peter meant when he said ‘He (God) gave us a living hope because Jesus Christ rose from death.”

1. Hope is looking forward to something with expectation and confidence.

2. Hope is when you wish for something to go a certain way.

3. Hope is talking to God every day, expecting an answer.

4. Hope is like having another chance. Like if the baseball game is tied, you still hope to win.

5. Hope knows I am going to be in Heaven with Jesus.

6. Hope is believing Jesus rose from the dead, but you didn’t see it.

7. I hope I can get a pet snake.

8. Hope helps you set goals God wants.

9. Hope wonders what God has for me today.

10.Hope wonders what God is up to in this situation.

A Living Hope:

This ‘Living Hope’ is Jesus; past, present, and future

Past   Jesus rose from the dead

Present   Jesus is alive

Future   Jesus promises Heaven

1 Peter 1:15-16 But be holy in all that you do, just as God is holy. God is the One who called you. It is written in the Scriptures: “You must be holy, because I am holy.”

Living hope loves others when our life is well or when our life is hard.

Living hope wants our thoughts, words, and actions to be like Jesus.

Living hope changes how we live, because of love and trust in God.

Living hope tells others about our Living Hope, Jesus.

Worship and Praise God - Pray: Father, thank you for the living hope we have in Jesus Christ, our Lord. I pray the hope we have will grow each day by the Holy Spirit. I pray the hope we have in the resurrection of Jesus changes us minute by minute and day by day to purify our hearts so the fruit of the Holy Spirit is always known and seen by others. I pray the hope of Jesus Christ living in and through us will witness to those who do not know the eternal hope and will believe. In Jesus Name, Amen.

5 Dear friend, you are doing a good work for God in taking care of the traveling teachers and missionaries who are passing through. 6 They have told the church here of your friendship and your loving deeds. I am glad when you send them on their way with a generous gift. 7 For they are traveling for the Lord and take neither food, clothing, shelter, nor money from those who are not Christians, even though they have preached to them. 8 So we ourselves should take care of them in order that we may become partners with them in the Lord’s work. 3 John 1-5:8

Luke 19:37 The whole crowd of followers was very happy. They began shouting praise to God for all the powerful works they had seen.

John 12:12 A great crowd in Jerusalem heard that Jesus was coming there. They took branches of palm trees and went out to meet Jesus. They shouted, “Praise God! God bless the One who comes in the name of the Lord! God bless the King of Israel!”

Read or have someone read to you these verses about Jesus’s entry into Jerusalem:

John 12:27-28 Now I am very troubled. I came to this time so that I could suffer. Father, bring glory to your name!

John 13:1 Jesus knew that it was time for him to leave this world and go back to the Father.

John 14:31 I do exactly what the Father told me to do. John 18:4 Jesus knew everything that would happen to him.

Be Careful of False Teachers

2 John 1:7 (ICB) says “They refuse to say that Jesus Christ came to earth and became a man.” Their teaching is not true!! We know and believe Jesus is God and Man.

1. Open your Bible to John 1:1-2 and John 1:14

Read or have someone read these verses.

John 1:1-2 - Before the world began, there was the Word. The Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was with God in the beginning. John 1:14 - The Word became a man and lived among us.

Watch this video from Crossroads Kids Club called God’s Story /Jesus

2. In these verses, who is the Word?

Hint: Notice the upper cases ‘W.’

Some of you may say the ‘Word’ is God and some of you may say the ‘Word’ is Jesus. Correct answer: You are both right, because Jesus is God.

3. How do we know Jesus was a man?

Hint: Merry Christmas

You are right. He was born. He was a baby. He grew up. He lived on the earth. He was like you and me, except He never sinned. Did you notice the upper case H for ‘He’. He was not half God and half man. He was all God and all man!

And, Don’t let anyone tell you different!!! 2 John 1:7 says ‘Anyone who refuses to say this is a false teacher and an enemy of Christ.’ Know and Believe ‘Jesus is God and Man!!! (I am excited and talking loud.)

Father in the name of Jesus, thank you for being faithful to us each day. Your faithfulness is what we trust in every day. We thank you for so loving us that you would send your Son, the Word, Jesus, Savior and Lord to be the sinless sacrifice for our sins. I pray that this truth will be known and believed in our heart and mind. By the power of the Holy Spirit, I pray we will be wise and discerning children of yours, knowing truth and standing firm against the lies of the enemy. Protect us this week, I ask. Provide for us, I ask. Heal us, I pray. Purify us, I pray. Seeking first your kingdom and your righteousness now and forever. Amen.

What is Love?

Get your Bible and find 2 John 1: 5

Read or have someone read to you the verse.

2 John 1:5 And this is love, that we walk according to His commandments.

What are His commandments?

1. Watch this video ‘The Law’ -   from the Bible Project by yourself or with your family to understand how obeying the commandments of God shows how we love God and love our neighbor as ourselves. As you watch the video and have questions, ask your parents.

How do we love walking according to His commandments?

2. In Matthew 25:35-40 Jesus tells us how the ‘good people on his right’ (Christians) love God by loving others. Jesus says in verse 40 ‘Anything you did for any of my people here, you also did for me.’

3. Read or have someone read to you these verses below, Matthew 25:32-40.

4. Now that you have read the verses, think and talk to your family about God’s commands for us. What are the 10 commandments?

How did Jesus describe the commandments in Matthew chapters 5-7.

When we know God’s commands, what things can you do for one another and others?

Remember: Anything you do for any of my people in your family, your school, neighborhood, you also do for Jesus.

Matthew 25:32-40 - 32.All the people of the world will be gathered before him. 33 The Son of Man will put the sheep, the good people, on his right.. 34 “Then the King will say to the good people on his right, ‘Come. My Father has given you his blessing. Come and receive the kingdom God has prepared for you since the world was made. 35.  I was hungry, and you gave me food. I was thirsty, and you gave me something to drink. I was alone and away from home, and you invited me into your house. 36.  I was without clothes, and you gave me something to wear. I was sick, and you cared for me. I was in prison, and you visited me.’ 37 .“Then the good people will answer, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and give you food? When did we see you thirsty and give you something to drink? 38. When did we see you alone and away from home and invite you into our house? When did we see you without clothes and give you something to wear? 39. When did we see you sick or in prison and care for you?’ 40. “Then the King will answer, ‘I tell you the truth. Anything you did for any of my people here, you also did for me.’

Lord Jesus, we come to you each day with grateful hearts for who you are, God's son, for Your Glory, for your goodness and mercy that is new every morning. Thank you Jesus for saving us, for giving your life for us. Let us share this good news with others. Let your light shine through us as we love and serve as you do.
